Social Association of Journalists at North of Afghanistan
Social Association of Journalists at North of Afghanistan - SAJNA was founded in 2010 by Afghan senior journalist Gulab Shah Bawar and 12 other co-founders in Balkh province.
SAJNA has been registered with the ministry of justice of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
The very main reasons for the founding of this organization were protecting journalists rights, develop professional journalism in Afghanistan and creating managed coordination between media and civil society organizations.
SAJNA has opened its sub offices in Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Kundoz and Urozgan provinces too.
Currently we have over 700 registered members in Afghanistan and abroad. SAJNA has a close and strong coordination with more than 25 institutions including local development NGOs, cultural institutions and media support organizations.
