The Social Association of Journalists at North of Afghanistan demands from Taliban to try to increase the presence of female journalist’s in Afghan media.

The Social Association of Journalists at North of Afghanistan is concerned about the negative effects of journalist’s detentions on the free media activities in Afghanistan.

Amnesty International, on March 21 called on the Taliban to end arbitrary detentions of media activists and journalists in Afghanistan.

SAJNA – also calls on the Taliban to pave the way for more open activities of media in Afghanistan.

The Social Association of Journalists at North of Afghanistan demands from Taliban to try to increase the presence of female journalist’s in Afghan media.

Since 15th August 2021, when the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, more then 2000 journalists have left Afghanistan and 350 audio, video and print media outlets have been shut down.
