Drought following climate change faces Afghans with hunger

WFP says that climate change in Afghanistan has negatively affected millions of Afghans.


World Food Program said on Friday 21th October in a tweet that drought in Afghanistan rising food prices and have made living conditions in the country very difficult.

The World Food Program published the pictures of Afghan farmers and said that although the farmers are trying to get good yields from their lands, but the drought has caused them to face hunger.

Afghanistan has been ruled by the Taliban since mid-August 2021, and after the fall of the republican government of Islamic Afghanistan, since that time aid of the international community has been limited to this country.

The Taliban also has so far not announced any specific plan to improve the economic situation of the public and fight against drought and climate change.
